To remove the Windows Mail app from Windows:
- Open the Start menu in Windows.
- Select Settings.
Windows keyboard shortcut: Press Windows I to open the Settings app directly.
- Open the Apps category.
- Open the Installed apps category.
Windows 10: You can skip this step on Windows 10.
- Click the three-dots menu button for Mail and Calendar.
Windows 10: On Windows 10, click Mail and Calendar to bring up the menu.
Search: Typemail
over Search this list under Apps & features to jump to Mail quickly. - Now select Uninstall.
- Click Uninstall once more.

Can I remove Mail but keep Calendar?
No.
Windows Mail and Windows Calendar are an integral package. Removing one will also uninstall the other.
You can remove all email accounts from Mail, of course, to effectively disable it.
How can I install Windows Mail again?
To install the Mail app on Windows:
- Visit Mail and Calendar in your browser.
- Click Get.
- Allow the browser to open Microsoft Store if you get the prompt.
- Click Install.
Getting it instead: If you do not see Install, click Get to be able to install Mail and Calendar. - Wait for Complete to appear.
