How to Open an Email or Reply in a New Window with Fastmail: FAQ

Is there a keyboard shortcut for popping out an already open email?

No.

To open an email you are viewing or composing, use the Open in new window button (or your browser’s keyboard navigation to highlight and use the button using the keyboard).

Can I open multiple emails in separate windows?

Yes.

You can, of course, open multiple emails and messages you are writing each in their own Fastmail window. You do have to pop out each message individually, though; there’s no way to select multiple messages and open them in separate windows in one go.
