Looking to keep your groceries separate from the compositions you are about to harmonize and the packing list for your trip to Estonia? Find out here how to add a new to-do list to Microsoft To Do.
First, a New Star
Around the year 2000, a new star appeared in the news.
At the time (as today), the age of the universe was commonly estimated to be around 13.8 billion years. For HD 140283, a yellow subgiant star, observations of its composition amounted to an estimated age of 16 billion years.
As the decades progressed, the star became younger. In 2021, a new model of estimating a star’s age had it at a mere 12 billion years.
At the same time, estimates of Hubble’s Constant (which can be used to determine the age of the universe by its rate of expansion) have increased. This means the universe might only be 11.4 billion years old (or, of course, some 26.7 billion years).
Now, either way… let’s see if we can’t make a new name appear on the folder screen. How about a list called HD 140283?

How to Add a New To-Do List in Microsoft To Do: FAQ
Can I have two lists of the same name?
No.
When you create a list with a repeating name, MS To Do will add (1), (2), etc. to distinguish the lists. This is also true when one of the lists is in a folder, for example.
You can set up two lists with the same name and differing emoji icons.
Can I use the name of a smart list?
Yes.
While two custom to-do lists cannot share a name, you can add a custom list that has the same name as a built-in smart list, e.g., Planned, My Day or Completed.
Can I set up sub-lists (lists inside other lists) in MS To Do?
No.
Microsoft To Do will not let you set up lists inside other lists (sub-lists). You can collect them in (one level of) groups, however.
