Delete All Safari History

Time needed: 1 minute

To clear your browsing history in Safari for iOS and iPadOS on iPhone and iPad:

  1. Tap the bookmarks button (📖) in Safari.

    Here’s where: You’ll see the button in any tab’s toolbar, but not in the tab overview.

  2. Go to the History tab (🕘).

  3. Click Clear.

  4. Choose All history under CLEAR TIMEFRAME.

    Other timeframes: You can also choose delete only more recent history entries, of course (such as Last hour or Today and yesterday).

  5. Click Clear History.

    No further confirmation: Safari will not ask again and remove the websites visited during the chosen period immediately.

Remove a Particular Page from the History

To delete a page from your browsing history in Safari on iPhone:

  1. Open the browsing history in Safari (see above).
  2. Long swipe over any entry from the right that you want to remove from history.
    More than one: To delete multiple pages in one go, tap Edit, check all entries you want to delete, then tap Delete.
    Search: You can use the Search History bar to find entries from a particular domain, for example.

Will removing pages from the history on iPhone also remove it from Safari on other devices?

Yes.

if Safari is set up to use iCloud for synchronizing bookmarks, history and more, deleting the browsing history will synchronize as well.

Can I group pages in the history?

No.

Entries are always grouped by time.

Will pages also be removed from frequently visited sites?

Yes.

Deleting a page from the browsing history in Safari will also remove their count from the list of frequently visited pages.
