First, Blackberries Are Nuts
Berries come from a plant’s ovaries, one delicious-fleshy fruit per ovary.
Blueberries, cranberries, tomatoes and bananas are berries and contain seeds inside. Blackberry fruit (like raspberries and strawberries) do not develop from the ovaries, and they carry their seeds on the outside.
These seeds (which do not crack when they are mature) can well be called “nuts”.
Now, as interesting as such botanical intricacies may be, I tend to forget them.
I’m not sure the occasional blackberry that makes it into my müesli will be enough of an aide-memoir. I’d better set up a reminder in SaneBox as well:

Get Flexible Reminders by Email about Anything
Time needed: 1 minute
To get reminders by email from SaneBox for heightened productivity:
- Create a new email.
The sender is the recipient: Send from the email account where you want to receive the SaneBox reminder.
- In the To: field, pick when you want to be reminded.
The formula: See below how to construct the @sanebox.com email address that will remind you exactly when you want to be reminded.
Contacts: Save oft-used addresses to your address book or rely on auto-completion; you can also download suggested address book entries from SaneBox in VCF (Apple Contacts and Google Contacts) as well as CSV (Outlook and Thunderbird) formats. - In the Subject: field, enter the title for your reminder.
- Optional: Add additional information to the email’s body text.
Void and empty: You can leave the body empty, of course, and rely on the message’s subject to remind you.
It all comes back: The full message will be delivered to your email inbox when the reminder is due.

How to Specify SaneBox Reminder Date and Time
Specific Date
Combine month, day and year in the format MM-DD-YYYY@sanebox.com
.
You can spell out month names (“December”) or use abbreviations (“Dec”).
The year is entirely optional. If you do not specify a year, SaneBox will use the first occurrence of the date.
You can add a time (to get a reminder at a specific time on that date; see below). Without a time specified, SaneBox will use 3 a.m. in the morning (using the SaneBox account’s time zone) on the day.

Day of the Week
Specify the day of the week with its name or abbreviated name.
You can add days, weeks, months and years to the weekday using +

Combine weekdays with time to get a reminder at the specified time. Without a time specified, SaneBox will send the reminder at 3:00 a.m.

Use minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years to create reminders at that time from now.
Write out the time interval (minutes

Combine “time from now” with a specific date or weekday to start counting from then.
Note: If you do not specify minutes or hours, SaneBox will send the reminder at 3:00 a.m. on that day, otherwise on the same time as now plus the specified interval in minutes or hours.

How to Use SaneBox Reminders: FAQ
How can I cancel a SaneBox reminder?
To remove a SaneBox reminder:
- Open your SaneBox dashboard in a browser.
- Go to Tools | Quick Reminders.
- Find the reminder you want to cancel under SaneReminders.
Search: You can use the Search… field to find subjects (not dates, though). - Click Remove for the reminder you want to cancel.
Take note: Deleting the saved reminder email from the @SaneReminders folder will not cancel the reminder.
Can I sync SaneBox reminders to my calendar or to-do list?
Yes.
You can add an iCalendar .ICAL feed, which you can add to many a calendar application (including Apple Calendar on macOS and iOS, Google Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird).
