How to Set Up a Signature with Logo in Outlook for Mac
Time needed: 5 minutes
To add a logo image to an email signature in Outlook for Mac:
- Select Outlook | Preferences… in the menu from Outlook for Mac.
Outlook keyboard shortcut: As is macOS’s custom, you can also press Command , (comma) to open Outlook preferences.
- Go to the Signatures category.
- Highlight the signature to which you want to add a logo or other image.
- Click Edit.
- Position the text cursor where you want the image to appear in the signature.
No sweat: You can move the image after inserting it, so do not stress over getting it perfectly right initially.
- Click Insert Picture in the formatting toolbar.
No “Insert Picture”: If you do not see the button for inserting pictures, do click the three dots See more items menu button (⋯).
No menu: Choosing Format | Insert Picture from the menu will not work for signatures (the command lets you insert images in emails as you compose them). - Now choose Picture from File….
- Find and highlight the image you want to add to the signature.
Searching: You can use Spotlight search (using the Search field), of course, in addition to browsing and traversing folders.
- Click Insert.
- Click on the image to change its size, orientation and position.
Resizing: Use the handles in the corners and on the sides to resize the image proportionally or by moving one edge respectively; use this only for small adjustments and resize the image itself before you insert it if you find you have to resize the image considerably.
Reposition: Click and drag to move the logo inside the signature.
Rotate: You can use the rotating handle to rotate the image.
Flip: While resizing, move the cursor rapidly from right to left (or vice versa) or up and down to flip the image horizontally or vertically. - Click Save.
- Close the signature editor and then the preferences window.

Is the signature image attached?
Yes.
if you include an image or logo in your Outlook for Mac signature, the file will be sent along with every email that includes the signature as an attachment.
Will Outlook resize the image to the dimension I choose?
No.
Outlook will only change the display size, not the dimensions of the image itself—or the file attached. To save bandwidth and space, do resize the image or logo to the desired size before you insert it into the signature.
Can I copy from an email to the signature editor?
Yes.
if you feel more comfortable editing your signature in an email draft, you can copy the signature including its logo from there into a new or existing signature. The effect is as if you had composed the signature in the signature editor.
