Log In to the Outlook App Using a QR Code: FAQ
Can I create the QR code from legacy Outlook for Windows or Outlook for Mac?
No.
These two desktop versions of Outlook do not offer either the QR code or a link for creating it directly. (Outlook for Windows takes you to Outlook in the app stores, but will not let you sign in directly.)
Do open the account in Outlook.com on the web and log in from that version or log in with email address and password instead.
