How to Delete Cookies in Microsoft Edge
On Windows with Chromium-Based Edge
Time needed: 2 minutes
To delete all cookies stored in Microsoft Edge on Windows:
- Click or tap Settings and more (•••) in Microsoft Edge.
Edge keyboard shortcut: You can also press Alt F instead of clicking.
- Select Settings from the menu that has appeared.
- Go to the Privacy, search, and services category.
View categories: Click the hamburger menu icon next to Settings to reveal Edge settings categories.
Find the setting: You can also start typingclear browsing dataover Search settings. - Now tap or click Choose what to clear under Clear browsing data now.
- Select All time under Time range.
- Do check Cookies and saved website data.
Delete more: You can check other options as well, of course, to clear more data — such as your browsing history, saved form data and passwords.
- Click Clear now.
Clearing cookies automatically: You can also have Edge keep cookies and site data only until you quit the browser.

On Windows 10 (using classic Edge)
To delete cookies from classic (not Chromium-based) Microsoft Edge on Windows 10:
- Click or tap Settings and more (•••) in Microsoft Edge.
- Select Settings from the menu that has appeared.
- Go to the Privacy & security category.
- Now tap or click Choose what to clear under Clear browsing data.
- Do check Cookies and saved website data.
Note: You can check other options as well, of course, to clear more data — such as your browsing history, saved form data and passwords. - Click Clear.
Under iOS and Android
To remove cookies from the Microsoft Edge browser for iOS and Android:
- Tap the menu button (•••) in Microsoft Edge.
- Select Settings from the menu that has shown.
- Now tap Privacy and security.
- Select Clear browsing data.
- Choose All Time for the Time range.
- Make sure to check Cookies and other site data under Clear browsing data.
Note: Of course, you can select other data for deletion as well, say form data, passwords or your browsing history. - Tap Clear now.

Can I set up Microsoft Edge to clear cookies automatically?
Yes.
To set up the Edge browser to clear cookies every time you close its last open window:
- Click Settings and more (•••) in Microsoft Edge.
- Select Settings.
- Now select Privacy, search, and services.
- Click Choose what to clear every time you close the browser under Clear browsing data.
- Make sure to enable Cookies and other site data.
Just cookies: For automatic clearing, you would typically not enable Passwords, Autofill form data and Site permissions; you can, of course, have your browsing history as well as Microsoft Edge’s cache cleared alongside your cookies.
Clearing cookies is not usually a necessary action. It can be a useful quick troubleshooting step when a website is acting up in Microsoft Edge, however.
