Finished writing your email and drag the file in — only to be stopped by a red “attachments are limited” message? Proton Mail, secure as it is, imposes strict attachment size limits. No need to despair, though. Find out here how to share large files using Proton Drive — and include the link gracefully with your Proton Mail message.
First, Pulling Out the Last Air
When you sip through a straw, you don’t pull the drink up at all. You’re just taking out some of the air and pressure. The atmosphere does the rest, pushing the liquid upward into the space you’ve cleared. The harder you suck, the higher your drink will climb—up to a point.
Because atmospheric pressure has its bounds, no drink in a straw can rise higher than about 10.3 meters (roughly 34 feet). Still enough for a milkshake on the second floor!
Now, if you’ve reached the limits of what Proton Mail lets you send, may I hand you a longer straw?
