Microsoft To Do in Outlook and on the Web

To open settings for Microsoft To Do in Outlook (for Mac, Windows and on the web) as well as MS To Do online:
- Expand the list of to-do lists in Microsoft To Do.
Here’s how: Click the hamburger menu icon (☰) to the left of the current list’s title if the list is compressed.
- Now click the settings gear icon (⚙) in the list of lists.
No gear icon: If you do not see the gear icon atop the lists (namely in Microsoft To Do on the web outside of Outlook), click the gear icon in the header instead.

Microsoft To Do for Windows
To access preferences in the To Do app for Windows:
- Click your name or email address on top of the list overview in To Do.
No lists: If you do not see lists and name, click the hamburger menu button (☰) to reveal both. - Choose Settings in the menu that has appeared.
MS To Do for Mac
To open the settings dialog in Microsoft To Do for Mac:
- Click your name or account email address atop the list of lists in MS To Do.
No list of lists: Use the mouse to make the To Do window wider and reveal the list of lists. - Select Preferences from the menu that has appeared.
Microsoft To Do keyboard shortcut: You can also press Command , (comma) to open preferences (even when the list overview sidebar is hidden).
On a Mac, settings will appear as a separate dialog with the individual options arranged on tabs instead of in sections on a single sheet.
