To change the name in the From: line when you send an email in Outlook for Windows using Outlook options:
- Click File in Outlook.
- Go to the Info tab.
- Select the account for which you want to change the sending name under Account information.
- Click Account Settings.
- Select Account Name and Sync Settings from the menu that has appeared.
- Enter the name you want to appear in the From: line under Your name (under General settings).
Exchange Accounts: While you can change the sending name for POP and IMAP accounts right in Outlook, for Exchange accounts, do change the name in the web interface.
- Click Next.
- Now click Done.

New Outlook
New Outlook uses the respective account’s name for sending emails. While you can choose the outing email address if more than one is associated with an account, you cannot change or edit the name in Outlook itself.
To change the name used for sending emails in new Outlook, change the account settings for the account on the web.
